Tributes to the late Tony Renna have been flooding in from
all corners of the racing community......
and now they come from the fans and the golf community!
An annual celebrity golf tournament is scheduled in memory
of Indy Racing League driver Tony Renna.
Tony was
a 1995 graduate of Father Lopez Catholic High School, Daytona Beach, FL.
Tony was a rising star in IndyCar Series racing and finished 7th in last
year's Indy 500. For Tony, the dream he had since he began driving racecars
at age 6 was coming true. On Oct. 22, 2003, at Indianapolis Motor Speedway,
Tony was ecstatic to be driving for his new team, Target Ganassi Racing. He
was on the fifth lap of this test drive when God brought Tony to heaven.
All proceeds benefit Father
Lopez Catholic High School, the Tony Renna Scholarship Fund at Father Lopez,
and the Tony Renna Memorial Foundation.
